Spring Break

The girls are on Spring Break this week from preschool, so we took a few days for a mini vacation. We spent the weekend at Tan-tar-a (I hoped I spelled that right), and went to the indoor water park. Sophie really only wanted to sit in the hot pool, as she calls it. Meg did go down the slide twice with her dad, but for the most part she just loves to run around and play in the water. The girls had so much fun, actually asking to go back to the hotel once we got home! Greg and I had a different interpretation of the weekend, what with sleep deprived children and 30 degree weather. Nothing like going swimming when it is snowing outside. But, as I said, the girls had a blast, and I guess in the end, that is what is important.

The other girls are doing well as well! I had an ultrasound today that shows that their growth is very appropriate, both weighing a little over 2 1/2 pounds! Unfortunately, they are both in a breech position right now, but I'm hoping that in the next few weeks, baby A flips herself over. I would really prefer to avoid a C-section if I could, so we'll remain optimistic. But I would imagine that they are running out of room in there! It sure feels like it to me. I already feel as I normally do when I am full term, and I still have over two months to go. I'm a little afraid of how much bigger I am going to get. The good thing is that I can eat just about anything (I'll try not to jinx myself) and still find it hard to gain a lot of weight. I am enjoying the food!

Happy Birthday Sophie

Hard to believe that Sophie is four years old! Persistence being one of her strongest personality traits, she continued to want everything Lightning McQueen for her birthday. The cake, the balloons, the pajamas, even the bike that she got. We really tried to convince her that a girl bicycle, maybe something in pink or purple, would be pretty cool as well, but to no avail. Oh well, she was very happy! We had a small party at our house on her actual birthday, just pizza and cake - the Lightning cake that she has been talking about for almost a year. Many of her cousins were in town, being that Greg's sister and brother, and all their families in tow, came in for the weekend. We all survived living in our house together for most of the weekend. On Sunday, they headed out to a hotel, and we took the girls up to swim at the pool. Both girls had a great time!
